This beautiful necklace is cast from an original widow's mite coin.The original coin is bronze. The coin was plated with 18K Gold. This necklace is based on story of the poor widow in Luke 21 who gave more than everyone else even though she only gave a mite. It is a beautiful reminder to give what you have even when it feels small.
Jesus looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the offering box, and he saw a poor widow put in two small copper coins.
